Win a VIP Experience at the Johnstone’s Paint Masters Terms and Conditions

1. Eligible customers
The promotion is open to customers of PPG Architectural Coatings UK Limited and PPG Architectural Coatings Ireland Limited (which companies shall be referred to as “PPG” jointly or separately as the context admits), including Paint, Protective Coatings, EWI (External Wall Insulation) and Render and who have completed a project using any of the above products by 14 December 2024, are permanent residents of England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland and aged 18 years or over but excluding employees and their families of the Promoter, associated companies, agents, or anyone else professionally connected with the promotion.

2. Start Date
00.00am 31 July 2024

3. Closing Date
11.59pm 14 December 2024. Entries submitted before the Start Date or after the Closing Date and time will be classed as null and void and will not be entered in to the promotion.

4. The Promotion and how to take part
4.1. The Promotion: the chance to enter for free a prize draw for a chance to win the prize as described in paragraph 6 (“Prize”).

4.2. How to take part: entry is free and requires the entrant to submit details of a painting project on Masters of Colour Entry Form between the Start Date and Closing Date ensuring you provide the following; Name, email address, category, project title, short description, 6 project photographs, company name, lead name on project, job title, your PPG representative or local Johnstone’s Decorating Centre, client’s name, project name, project address, number of trades people, area of building decorated, details of special features, PPG brands used, the products, colours and quantities used, use of the building, reasons why the project should win the award, project start and finish dates, contact address, postcode and telephone number.

Unless you include the mandatory information in your submission or don’t make the submission during the Start Date and Closing Date, the project will not be entered into the Prize draw.

5. Selection of the winner
5.1. During the week commencing 16 December 2024, the Promoter will conduct verification checks to ensure that the entrants have complied with the entry requirements set out in paragraph 4 and that such entrants are not excluded from taking part in the promotion under paragraph 1. If the Promoter identifies that an entrant has not complied with the requirements of paragraph 4 or was ineligible to take part under paragraph 1, they will not be entered into the Prize draw. The Promoter will then conduct a software-operated random Prize draw which will result in the selection of a winner of the Prize.

5.2. Once the random prize draw has been completed, the entrant will be notified by phone and email before 20 December 2024 confirming that they are the winner with details of the allocated dates for the Hotel stay and date of tickets to the JPM with a request that the winner confirms by email within 48 hours of receipt of the Promoter’s email that they accept the Prize. On receipt of the winner’s email confirming they accept the Prize, the Promoter will send the winner an email with confirmation of their win and details of the confirmed booking of the Hotel stay and date of tickets to the JPM . If, within the stated 48 hour period, the winner either does not reply by email accepting the Prize or confirms that they cannot take up the Prize, all their rights, title and interest in the Prize shall be automatically cancelled and the draw will take place again to find an alternative winner. Once the dates for the winner’s hotel stay and attendance of the JPM have been booked they shall not, under any circumstances, be capable of being changed and PPG shall not be liable to the winner if, for any reason, the winner is unable to stay at the hotel or attend the JPM/ the backstage tour on the booked dates.

6. Prize Available.
6.1. Two standard tickets to the Johnstone’s Paint Masters (“JPM”) between 12th-19th January 2025, overnight stay in a London hotel (“Hotel”) and tournament backstage tour. Note that the winner will not be able to select the dates of the hotel stay or the date of attendance of the JPM; these will be determined solely by the Promoter. The Prize includes Hotel accommodation for one night based on two adults sharing one standard double or twin room; the winner and their invited guest are solely responsible for all of their travel and related expenses to and from the hotel and JPM venue.

6.2. The Promoter reserves the right to offer a reasonable equivalent of any prize of the same or greater value in the event of unforeseen circumstances. No cash alternative is available and the prizes are non-transferable and not for resale.

7. Participation in this promotion is governed by these terms and conditions. Entrants are encouraged to review these terms and conditions before entering the promotion and acknowledge that they been given an appropriate opportunity to do so and that they understand and accept these terms and conditions. Incomplete entries or entries that do not comply with these terms and conditions will be void and will not be entered into this promotion.

8. Employees using company accounts must have the permission of their employer or senior management to participate. Any prizes claimed belong to the owner of the business account used, unless agreed otherwise. The responsibility of any tax liabilities arising from this promotion lies with the person claiming the prize .

9. While nothing in these terms and conditions will limit the Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for fraud, the Promoter will not be legally responsible to entrants or winners for any losses that were not foreseeable to the Promoter or to the entrant at the time of entry to the promotion or which are caused by a third party.

10. An entrant’s personal data will be processed by PPG Architectural Coatings UK Limited and/or PPG Architectural Coatings Ireland Limited as a data controller for the purpose of performing our obligations under these terms and conditions. 11. Winner of the prize may be asked to take part in publicity. In claiming a prize the winner is accepting to take part in any publicity requested by the Promoter. Publicity material resulting from the promotion remains the Intellectual Property (including copyright) of the Promoter. Any personal information supplied by entrants will be used in line with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy which can be viewed on the Promoter’s website.

12. The Promoter reserves the right to vary or terminate this promotion at any time due to circumstances beyond its control.

13. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

14. The name and county of the winners of the ‘Win a VIP Experience with Johnstone’s Painter of the Year’ will be available upon request after 06.02.25 by sending a SAE to the Promoter’s address marked: Winners of ‘Win a VIP Experience (Marketing)’.

16. In relation to UK residents, these terms and conditions and any issues or disputes which may arise out of or in connection with these terms and conditions (whether such disputes or issues are contractual or non-contractual in nature, such as claims in tort, for breach of statute or regulation or otherwise) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or issues.

17. In relation to residents of the Republic of Ireland, these terms and conditions and any issues or disputes which may arise out of or in connection with these terms and conditions (whether such disputes or issues are contractual or non-contractual in nature, such as claims in tort, for breach of statute or regulation or otherwise) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Irish law and the courts of the Republic of Ireland shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or issues.
